The “Stone Fes. 2026” event has confirmed that “Dr. Stone Terraforming,” a new anime in the franchise, is in the works. It will adapt the “Terraforming” story, set after the main plot and included in volume 27 of the manga.

The announcement comes just a few months after the end of “Dr. Stone Science Future,” the fourth and final season of the original series, which aired in three parts between January 2025 and June 2026.

“Dr. Stone” follows Senku, a science-obsessed student who tries to rebuild civilization from scratch after all of humanity is turned to stone for thousands of years.

The manga, written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi, ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2017 to 2022.
