“My Hero Academia” wraps up its manga after a decade
Kohei Horikoshi brought Izuku Midoriya's story, which had run in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2014, to a close in August 2024.

The “My Hero Academia” manga has ended. Kohei Horikoshi's series published its final chapter in Weekly Shonen Jump in August 2024, nearly ten years after its debut in the magazine.
The story follows Izuku Midoriya, a boy born without powers in a world where almost everyone has one, who ends up inheriting the “Quirk” of the country's greatest hero.
Over the past decade, the series has spawned several anime seasons produced by studio Bones, films, video games and an enormous amount of merchandise.
The ending closes the book on one of the titles that defined the latest generation of shonen and did the most to draw new readers to manga outside Japan.
